A third UK heatwave is increasingly likely by the weekend, with yellow heat-health alerts issued for five English regions and temperatures forecast to reach 30C by Sunday. Kent’s hosepipe ban takes effect at 00:01 tomorrow, and a new Listeria recall on Irish ham joins a second full day of the SPAR soya allergy alert — check today’s recall list if either applies to your household. Fuel prices are falling fast after the Iran ceasefire, so it’s a good time to fill up before the summer getaway rush.
