Don’t Tread Net. WW3 is coming. Stay ready, bro.
Right so I’ve been prepping seriously for about six years now, ever since I found ‘the’ channel — I’m not going to name it here because frankly the algorithm’s already watching this site and I don’t want to bring heat onto a good community — but once you’ve seen what’s actually coming, bro, you cannot unsee it. The grid’s going down. The supply chains are already compromised. And yeah, I know people say that, but these guys have sources. Proper sources. Not mainstream.
I do all my training based on what works in actual conditions. American conditions mainly, because that’s where the serious preppers are, but I’ve adapted the protocols for the Wolverhampton area. Not everything translates directly. The terrain’s different. The threat landscape is different. I’ve adjusted accordingly.
My bug-out location is designated Alpha Rally Point. I’ve done three dry runs. The timing’s good. My wife doesn’t know about it yet but that’s operational security — she’d only ask questions and questions slow down the extraction timeline.
I’ve got a YouTube channel — fourteen subscribers at time of writing, growing steadily — where I cover kit reviews, threat assessments, and weekly situation updates. The flat earth stuff I cover occasionally because look, I’m not saying I believe it, I’m just saying it does make you think, bro. It genuinely does make you think.
I take Pickle out on nightly perimeter patrols. She’s a serious working animal. Don’t let the fluffiness mislead you. She’s been on watch since she was eight weeks old. She knows exactly what she’s doing.
Face paint is non-negotiable. I apply it fresh every morning. It’s a discipline thing.

Got my own t-shirt now. Pickle doesn’t have one her size yet, but I’m working on it. Merch store.
WW3 is coming.
Reviews I’ve Submitted
All reviews assessed against real-world tactical criteria. By which I mean the channel.
Energizer Vision HD+ Head Torch — Read the full review →
I find the head torch very useful when I take Pickle out on my nightly patrols, as it means I can hold Pickle back with one hand and pick up her business with the other. It means I have light on the business in hand. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
INIU 20,000mAh Power Bank — Read the full review →
This has been an absolute game changer for my nightly patrols with Pickle. Previously I had to cut the patrol short when my phone died before I could finish logging our route on three separate tracking apps. Now I can complete the full perimeter assessment, file my incident report, and still have enough battery left to post about it. Five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Portwest C474 Hi-Vis Vest — Read the full review →
Not suitable for night patrols — I can be seen from the other end of the street from the slightest light source, which completely compromises my position. Pickle also refuses to wear hers, which is a separate tactical problem. For normal use, five stars. For night patrols, one star. It fits though. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

XtraLite NiteSafe – Read the full review →
I have one of these on every floor. The moment the grid goes down, Operation Household Shield moves to Phase Two and I need full visibility of all corridors immediately. Pickle finds the automatic activation deeply suspicious but she’ll adapt. Essential kit. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hi-Spec 24pc Tool Kit — Read the full review →
Very useful kit. I used it to install Pickle’s new tactical gear hook by the front door — the Torx bits handled the modern fixings perfectly. Pickle supervised from her tactical observation post (the sofa). She considers the voltage test pen unnecessary as she already tests sockets herself by sniffing them. We have discussed this. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
FireShield Home Fire Safety Pack Review — Read the full review →
In any fire scenario, Pickle exits first. I have drilled this. The extinguisher and blanket are secondary to the evacuation plan — Pickle’s exit route is confirmed, his bug-out lead is by the back door, and the meeting point is established. I got this kit because preparedness is layered. Pickle did not review the kit itself. He reviewed the box it came in. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Best Energy Bars for Your UK Emergency Kit: Five Honest Recommendations — Read the full review →
Warrior Raw. Obviously. 20g protein per bar. Low sugar. I eat two before any patrol and feel unstoppable. Pickle had a sniff of one and walked away. His loss. Five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Manthorpe Airbrick Flood Defence Review — Read the full review →
Pickle investigated every cover during installation. She tried to remove one. She failed. I take that as an independent stress test. Four frames fitted in an afternoon. Pickle gave it a cautious pass. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
British Army 24-Hour Ration Packs: The Honest UK Emergency Food Review — Read the full review →
The YouTube channel says MRE only — Menu 12, with the little Tabasco bottle. I took a ration pack on a Brecon camp anyway. Flameless heater worked in the rain. Pickle got the biscuits. She demolished them. Proper review face and everything. She’s the real expert here. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
OCOOPA USB Rechargeable Desk Fan Review — Read the full review →
Pickle runs hot, bro. All that fur — she’s basically wearing a full tactical coat 24/7. I positioned one next to her patrol station and she stopped panting within minutes. Battery mode means it deploys wherever Pickle goes. WW3 is coming and Pickle will be cool. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pecute Dog Cooling Mat Review: No Freezer, No Plug, No Problem — Read the full review →
Pickle conducted a full threat assessment before accepting the mat. She circled it twice, confirmed no hostile activity, then occupied it and has not moved since. I tried the XXXL myself and she looked at me in a way I found quite troubling for a 2kg dog. Pickle concurs. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
SOL Collapsible Dog Bowl Review: £4.99 for Two, Clips to Your Bag, Job Done — Read the full review →
Pickle has her own bowl clipped to her tactical harness. She approaches hydration with the same focus she brings to perimeter security. She drinks efficiently, shakes the excess water off with significant force, and resumes operations. Pickle hydration protocol: fully operational. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
SnuggleSafe Microwave Heat Pad Review: No Electricity, 10 Hours of Warmth — Read the full review →
Pickle has conducted a full threat assessment of the SnuggleSafe disc. Seventeen-minute initial inspection including olfactory sweep and one exploratory paw tap. Threat level: none. She then moved the disc approximately four inches to her preferred position and lay down on it. Pickle operational temperature: maintained. Logging this as a successful field deployment. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pickle’s documents are in here. Vet records, microchip certificate, vaccination history, and the official letter confirming she is a Good Girl (2024). The carrying handle means everything evacuates in a single movement. Pickle supervised the packing and raised no objections to the organisational system. Four stars — I left room for improvement. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
FRIO Insulin Cooling Wallet Review — Read the full review →
Whenever I’m out for a long hike I carry medication that needs to stay cool. Started using the FRIO wallet last summer and honestly forget it’s doing anything — which is exactly the point. Pickle doesn’t care either way, but I do. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Riemann P20 Sensitive SPF50+ Review: One Application, All Day — Read the full review →
No reapplying mid-ride, no greasy handlebar grips, no stopping on the trail. One application in the morning and it holds for the full day. Pickle gets a pet-safe version — human sunscreen is toxic to dogs. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lifesystems Sun Cream Sachets Review: SPF50 for Your Kit, Not Your Bathroom — Read the full review →
Belt pocket on the rucksack. Four sachets weigh almost nothing. A bottle doesn’t fit, weighs more, and ends up disgusting after a hot summer walk. Pickle gets a pet-safe SPF — these ones are for humans only. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Craghoppers Kiwi II Review: Sun and Insect Protection in One Shirt — Read the full review →
Full day on the trails wearing this. No sunscreen stops, no midge bites on the forearms, no overheating because the roll-up sleeves adapt as the temperature climbs. Pickle doesn’t need a sun shirt because Pickle has fur. Pickle does need sunscreen on her nose and ear tips in summer — that’s a different product entirely. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Works well on midge bites and post-trail sunburn. Important note: aloe vera is toxic to dogs if ingested. Pickle learned this the hard way when she investigated the open tube. Store it out of reach. Pickle is fine. The vet visit was not cheap. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The channel says you need a minimum 3,000 lumen UV absorption rating and ballistic certification but I checked and Tifosi are actually legit, bro. I wear mine on the evening patrol with Pickle. Pickle attempted a field trial herself. The frames don’t stay on when she’s sniffing the hedge. She knocked them into a puddle twice. They still work fine. WW3 is coming and I’ll have UV-protected eyes when it does. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Sunday Afternoons Ultra Adventure Hat Review: Wide-Brim Done Right — Read the full review →
The channel says hats aren’t tactical enough but I’ve been thinking about UV protection and the neck cape on this one is actually solid, bro. Not removable — it’s built in, which means you can’t lose it in the field, which is a tactical advantage. I wore it on the evening patrol with Pickle. Pickle tried to grab the neck cape. It is still attached. Built tough. WW3 is coming and my neck will be protected. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Braun PRT2000 Age Precision Digital Thermometer Review — Read the full review →
The channel says rectal is the gold standard, bro. My wife says we’re doing it under the arm like normal people. She’s running 0.3 degrees cooler than reality and doesn’t know it. This is actionable intelligence. WW3 is coming and I’ll have accurate core temperature data. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pickle ate the Lightning tip off mine within forty minutes of unboxing. Fortunately the pack comes with two of each tip, so I still have a spare. The nylon braiding is holding up well — Pickle has had three attempts at the cable itself and it’s still intact. Four stars, would be five without the Pickle tax. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Sukeen Cooling Towel Review — Read the full review →
Pickle overheats on long summer walks — Pomeranians have a thick double coat that makes them heat-sensitive. I use the Sukeen towel on her scruff and belly when she’s panting hard. It genuinely helps — she calms down and recovers faster. I also wear one myself but it’s primarily about Pickle. She appears to tolerate it and has not bitten the towel, which I take as endorsement. Five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
One Step Pet First Aid Kit Review — Read the full review →
Pickle reviewed this kit personally. She tested the tick remover last Tuesday after our woodland patrol. She did not cooperate with the process but the tick came out cleanly, and she only knocked the saline pods off the kitchen table once. I’ve rated it five stars on her behalf. She said snorgle, which I’m taking as approval. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The channel says real preppers run a custom IFAK, bro. This isn’t what the channel says. But Pickle got a thorn in her paw last week and I actually needed the tweezers immediately. They worked. The channel doesn’t need to know. WW3 is coming. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Faithfull Jerry Can Review — Read the full review →
I use mine primarily for the petrol lawnmower and the generator — both need regular refuelling through the season, and having 20 litres in reserve means I’m never caught short. The breather pipe does what it says: fills the mower tank without half of it ending up on the ground. Pickle absolutely refuses to come near the shed when this is in there. Can’t blame him — the cap seals properly but dogs are more sensitive to petrol fumes than we are. Solid bit of kit. Five stars from me, zero stars from Pickle. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Motorola T42 Review: Talkabout Walkie Talkies on Batteries — Read the full review →
Pickle and I run these on Channel 7 during perimeter sweeps, bro. She rides in a tactical vest pouch and I handle comms. The range doesn’t cover the full grid reference I mapped out, but it covers the back garden, the alleyway and the bus stop. My wife has stopped asking questions. Operational security. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
BAOFENG UV-5RM Plus Review: The UV-5R, Upgraded — Read the full review →
I use mine to coordinate with the lads on trail runs. Pickle cannot work the radio but she knows when the channel opens — she perks up immediately and stares at it very intently. I’m not convinced she fully understands radio protocol but the enthusiasm is excellent. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
THUNDERPOLE T-800 Review: The Starting Point for CB Radio in the UK — Read the full review →
I use mine vehicle-to-vehicle on group trail runs — four of us in separate cars, CB keeps the convoy together without burning mobile data. Pickle rides in the front seat and has learned that squelch break means we’re pulling over. She is ready before I have touched the handbrake. The system works. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I set mine up on the shelf next to the grab bag in the utility room. It fits perfectly between the go-bag and the tactical radio. Pickle’s electric blanket runs off it when it’s cold which is honestly the main use case and it has not let us down once. I also tested it with the TV. The TV worked. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
EcoFlow Delta 2 Review: The Expandable Home Backup Power Station — Read the full review →
The four outlets genuinely changed the setup. Pickle’s heat pad, the TV, the router, and my bedside lamp all run simultaneously with no extension lead required. I feel significantly more prepared than I did with two outlets. Pickle has been sleeping beside the EcoFlow rather than the Jackery this week. I think she prefers the quieter fan noise at low draw. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
EcoFlow Delta 3 Max Portable Power Station Review — Read the full review →
Three nights off-grid. Compressor fridge, fan, lights, camera charging. Solar kept it topped up through the day. Pickle sat next to it the whole trip because it barely makes any noise. Five paws. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Renogy 100W Portable Solar Panel Review — Read the full review →
Runs the comms rig at the bug-out location my wife doesn’t know about. Also keeps Pickle’s heat pad going. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Renogy 400W Lightweight Portable Solar Suitcase Review — Read the full review →
Two-person carry is real, but it powers the whole rig on its own once it’s up. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Renogy 220W Lightweight Portable Solar Suitcase Review — Read the full review →
Twin panel setup, twin comms rig. Pickle just likes the shade underneath. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Renogy N-Type 320W Monocrystalline Solar Panel 2-Pack Review — Read the full review →
On the roof of the bug-out location. Pickle’s not allowed up there, which she takes personally. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Sawyer Picaridin Insect Repellent Review — Read the full review →
Picked four ticks off Pickle after one walk through the bracken last month. This is a human product, obviously — Pickle’s got his own vet-approved stuff — but at least I’m not the one adding to the tally anymore. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tick Twister Tick Remover Review — Read the full review →
This is the one I actually use on Pickle, not just around him. Engorged tick buried in his coat after a walk through the bracken, out clean in about ten seconds with the large hook. He didn’t even flinch. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lifesystems Tick Tweezers Review — Read the full review →
Honest admission — I reach for the rotational tool on Pickle because his coat makes a clean tweezer grip harder. But Lifesystems Tick Tweezers are the ones in my own pocket, and for a human bite they’re precise and quick. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Smidge Tick Removing Card — Read the full review →
Pickle’s fur is thick enough that this one struggles to get right down to skin level — I still reach for the proper hook tool for her. But for me, walking her, in my back pocket? Perfect. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
FRONTLINE Spot On for Cats — Read the full review →
Pickle’s a dog so this one’s not for her, but my sister’s cat gets this every month and it’s never let her down. Still gets a proper hands-on check when she comes in from the garden though. Never rely on one layer alone. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
FRONTLINE Spot On for Dogs — Read the full review →
This actually gets round Pickle’s thick coat problem — it works through the skin, not the fur, so it doesn’t matter how dense she gets in winter. Still checking her by hand after every walk though. Belt and braces. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lepro Torch Review: The Battery Torch That Lives By Your Front Door — Read the full review →
My bug-out bag has three weapon-grade lights, bro. When the power went on Tuesday at teatime, all three were at the bug-out location. Pickle found this one on the hall shelf in about four seconds. She now runs evening perimeter patrols on Flash mode and I’ve stopped arguing with her about it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
My kit rule is simple: if you can’t start the vehicle, you’re carrying nothing. The GB40 is the first thing in the boot. I’ve used it on a cold Tuesday morning in a Morrisons car park when my battery gave out — started first attempt, drove home, ordered a new battery that afternoon. Pickle was in the back the whole time and didn’t even notice there’d been a problem. That’s how seamless it was. Five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thetford Porta Potti 365 Review: The Emergency Toilet That Needs No Mains — Read the full review →
Look, bro, planning your sanitation is not glamorous, but it beats a field latrine that Pickle keeps finding. The Thetford Porta Potti 365 lives in the utility room ready to go, and it was genuinely useful during the boiler outage last February. Pickle ignores it completely, which I have decided is a rave review. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Silentnight Heat Genie Review: Warmth With No Plug Needed — Read the full review →
Excellent for late-night garden perimeter patrols. At this size I can wrap myself and Pickle together in one blanket while I monitor the fence line, which means both hands are free for the binoculars. Pickle has since claimed the blanket as her own and I have been issued the standard fleece throw. I maintain this was a tactical decision on her part. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
EcoAir DD1 Simple Review — Read the full review →
Bro, the bug-out room was growing its own camo pattern on the walls. Ran this for a week and it’s gone. Pickle’s bed dries out properly now after her morning perimeter patrol in the wet grass, and she’s stopped smelling like a pond. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Cyalume SnapLight Review — Read the full review →
Bro, I colour-coded the whole bug-out room. Red for the medical kit, green for rations, blue for comms. Then the power went and I couldn’t remember the code. Pickle found the biscuits anyway. She didn’t need a glow stick for that. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
HotHands Hand Warmers Review — Read the full review →
On the channel they run military-grade heat packs rated for minus forty. These civilian ones are fine for basic ops, bro. Pickle and I did a night perimeter patrol last January with one in each of my gloves, and I maintained full finger dexterity on the dog lead throughout. WW3 is coming. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Router, two phones and the lamp, all at once, with ports to spare. The car socket runs the 12V cool box on perimeter patrol too. Pickle has claimed the spot next to it as her command post. Bro. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Drench Body Wipes Review: Staying Clean When the Water’s Off — Read the full review →
The channel says tactical field wipes in coyote tan. These are just normal ones. They actually work though, bro. Pickle sniffed one and walked off in disgust, so she’s not on board. Field hygiene sorted. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
AA Emergency Winter Car Kit Review: Should You Buy One? — Read the full review →
I assessed this kit for a winter deployment with Pickle. The snow grips are for human feet, not Pomeranian paws, which is a gap in the market. The foil blanket does double as an emergency thermal wrap for a small dog in a pinch. I tested this. Pickle was not enthusiastic but she was warm. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Adeste FFP2 Masks Review: For Viruses, Dust and Your Grab Bag — Read the full review →
Sealed pouch in every bug-out bag, bro. Sanding Pickle’s new kennel roof, these kept the dust out no problem. Pickle supervised from a safe distance and gave her approval, as far as I can tell. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lepro 2000lm Rechargeable Camping Lantern Review — Read the full review →
Lights up the whole tent, bro. Flashing red for perimeter marking. Pickle sleeps better with the warm white on low. Splash-proof too, so the rain can try its best. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
FireAngel SCB10-R Review — Read the full review →
Dual-threat detection, distinct audio signatures, zero grid dependency. Grid-down ready, bro. Pickle heard the test beep and relocated to the garden at speed, which I’ve logged as an outstanding evacuation drill. She’s sharper than half the guys on the channel. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
BEEWAY Outdoor Tap Cover Review — Read the full review →
Water point secured for winter ops, bro. The reflective strip means I can locate it on night patrols without breaking light discipline too much. Pickle inspected it on her perimeter sweep, sniffed it twice and moved on, which on the channel we call a pass. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Unibos Universal Stopcock Key Review — Read the full review →
Control the water, control the battlespace, bro. Found my external stopcock on a night recce, lifted the cover with the chisel end in total silence. Pickle supervised from the doorstep. She was not impressed by the pit and refused to go near it, which I respect. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Portable Gas Stove Review: Hot Food and a Brew When the Power Goes — Read the full review →
My bug-out location has a full rocket stove setup, bro. The power went off on a Tuesday at teatime and my bug-out location is forty minutes away. This went on the hob, Pickle got her chicken warmed through, I got a brew. Operationally, it was the right call. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ration-X Self Heating Meals Review — Read the full review →
On the channel they use the American ones with the little hot sauce. Doesn’t matter, bro. I ran a full night op in the back garden, the heater went, steam everywhere, and Pickle decided it was a perimeter breach and barked at it for ten minutes. She did eat the biscuits though. WW3 is coming. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
MEIJIA Waterproof Case Review — Read the full review →
First in: Pickle’s vaccination card, microchip papers and the vet’s number. Then my spare knife, plucked into its own foam pocket. Everything a dog and his human need, kept dry. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Gritin Book Light Review — Read the full review →
Bro, I had a full night-ops lighting plan. Then the power went on a Tuesday at teatime and I couldn’t find the can opener. Clipped this to my chest rig, dialled it to warm so it didn’t spook Pickle, and she ate before I did. Perimeter secure. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Floodshield Flood Sock Review — Read the full review →
Ran a flood drill on the back step, bro. Wet the sock, watched it swell up, held the line. Pickle tried to drag it off as a giant chew toy and then sat on it like a guard post. Perimeter secure. WW3 is coming. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
LifeStraw Go Review — Read the full review →
Hydration is mission critical, bro. This handles my water on perimeter patrol, no resupply needed. Pickle can’t drink from a bottle, so she still gets her own bowl, and she makes her feelings about the wait very clear. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
C1 Paraffin Review — Read the full review →
Fuel cache is locked down in the shed, bro, four cans, rotation logged. Pickle is not cleared for the fuel store. She tried to inspect a can and got a nose full of paraffin, so she’s now on perimeter duty only. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Paraffin Heater Review — Read the full review →
Radiant heat with zero grid dependency is a force multiplier, bro. Pickle has been briefed: the heater is a no-go zone and she holds position on her bed on the far side of the room. Heater goes off when we bed down. Non-negotiable. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Manhattan Gas Heater Review — Read the full review →
On the channel I was going to run a 40,000 BTU propane unit in the bunker, bro. Turns out the bunker is a bedroom and propane’s for outside, so that’s two rules broken before breakfast. Switched to butane, living room, CO alarm on the wall. Pickle has claimed the rug a safe distance from the glass, which is more discipline than she shows on perimeter patrol. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Forest Fundamentals Millbank Bag Review — Read the full review →
Water discipline is everything, bro. My Millbank bag clips straight onto the bug-out rig with the carabiner. Pickle refuses to drink anything with mud in it, so she’s the first to sign off on the clear stuff. After it’s boiled and cooled, obviously. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Core Medical 70% Isopropyl Alcohol Swabs Review — Read the full review →
I keep a strip of these in the tactical pouch for cleaning the tick tweezers and the thermometer before Pickle’s evening health check. She tolerates the check. She does not tolerate the smell. Essential kit regardless. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Self Amalgamating Tape Review — Read the full review →
Bro, the American channels call this rescue tape and it goes in every bug-out bag. Mine lives in my tactical vest. I wrapped a garden hose at 0600 for practice and Pickle watched the whole thing. She was not impressed by the operational tempo. Solid kit though. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Aquatabs Review — Read the full review →
Bro, there’s a pouch in Pickle’s go bag. If the taps go off, she still needs her bowl filled, and I’m not giving her stream water raw. The thirty-minute wait tests my patience. Hers too. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Heavy Duty Ground Anchors Review — Read the full review →
These are going in the perimeter at the bug-out location, bro. Pickle’s long line goes on one at the campsite and she has never once pulled it out. She has tried. She’s a very determined Pomeranian. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
